Starting now, whenever you buy a trade paperback from our website you'll be able to download the ebook version for free. You got it—right away and for free.
Since we started, we've offered 30% off the cover price of trade paperbacks when you order directly from us. That's not changing. We also embraced ebooks. We don't see them as a threat to our business, but as another way for fans to read our stories. We do our ebook creation in-house and offer them on Amazon, Kobo, Wowio and other sites.
Now, with the launch of our online shopping cart system, we decided to bundle an ebook into the price of trade paperbacks. When your purchase is complete, you'll be directed to log into the website to download a ZIP file containing the ebook in EPUB, MOBI and PDF formats.
Brett Savory, one of our co-publishers, put it this way:
We believe strongly in the ebook format. And believe our prices are fair for those who just want to read on their Kobo or Kindle. But we’ve said all along we’re in the story, not book, business. For someone who purchases a trade paperback, it’s fair they should be able to start reading the story right away on their e-reader, tablet or smartphone.Sandra Kasturi, our other co-publisher, added:
It’s also a way for a small publisher to compete with the likes of Amazon. Amazon can offer deals on prices or shipping because of the volumes they’re working with. Shipping costs for the physical books are often prohibitive for smaller outfits, so we hope this offer makes us competitive and gives a reason for readers to buy directly from us.Please note: This offer is only being done via the CZP site.
Do you accept non-fiction, dark? My book is "the Medieval Knights of North America". I have this ebook on amazon and a pdf file available on our web site. We are searching for a paperback publisher. It is the real story behind "The Knights of Mayhem" National Geo series featuring Patrick Lambke, "The Black Knight". Let me know! www.theblackknight.tv
ReplyDeleteNope, sorry. We don't publish non-fiction. Best of luck placing it, though. Sounds cool.
